Christmas in October

Happy Thursday!

I have already been asked for my Christmas list by my family. A) It is October. B) I always hated making Christmas lists. It always seemed a little rude to me to ask for specific presents. ANYWAYS, I have compiled some things that I just may drop hints about…

Red Hunter Boots. Yes Please.

Navy Bean Boots. Very high quality and oh so adorable.

Filigree Monogram Necklace. Believe it or not, I don’t have one yet!

Tiffany coffee mug. Because who wouldn’t want to drink out of a little blue box?

Any and all OSU apparrel, because, go bucks.

That’s all I have thus far! What are you guys eyeing up?! Have a great day!

All Dolled Up

Happy Wednesday!

I often get so many questions about my makeup! People always ask if it’s professionally done, and I am proud to say I’ve never been to a makeup artist in my life. It’s really not difficult and only takes me about 20 minutes total. My eyes are always Urban Decay Naked palettes. I own all of them and utilize them all! Investments but worth it. My eyeliner is just drugstore liquid, my mascara is always a drugstore mascara layered with a pricier one. Currently the combo is Maybelline One by One layered with Benefit Bad Gal Lash. My foundation is Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour. I am OBSESSED and a little goes a very long way so you’ll be set for a long time! I use clinique concealer. I contour in the winter and use Benefit Hoola bronzer. My blush changes from day to day! I hope that gives you guys a little more insight into what I use! Have a great day!

Homecoming 2014

Happy Monday B&B!

Unfortunately, I did not win Homecoming Queen. It was a great experience and I do not regret running for a second!

Above is what I wore for the filming of the video they showed to the student body. Sweater is Talbot’s, skirt is Loft, and white shirt is Ralph Lauren!

This is what I wore to the game. It was absolutely FREEZING but the game was the best art of the whole weekend. I had the best escort, we drove the best car, I had the best sign, received the most flowers, and had the most friends and family there supporting me. I’m pretty sure that even though I lost, I won. Skirt and blouse are Loft, coat is Calvin Klein.

This was my dress for the dance! The lovely people in the picture with me are my amazing parents. They truly are the greatest people I could ever ask to have in my life. Dress is White House Black Market, shoes are Chinese Laundry.

The dance itself was extremely average, but it’s still a good memory to have. Overall, it was a good weekend and I’m so blessed and honored to have even been on court. I love you all so much and I’m looking forward to a fantastic week with you!

Fit For a Queen

Happy Friday B&B!

Today is the big day! Tonight, we find out who wins Homecoming Queen. Nervous is probably the understatement of the year. The hair, nails, and makeup are set and ready to go. The outfit is (maybe I’m biased) on point. Tonight is a night I have dreamt about and worked toward since I was 4 years old. Standing on that 50 as a court member and looking up at the community I’ve grown up in, waiting to see who wins, is an image that I’ve held in my brain for the past 13 years, and tonight, I’ll finally be able to experience it. There are no words that can describe how important the SJJ community is to me, and having this memory of the school I love will by far be the highlight of my senior year. I am unable to express my gratitude for the opportunity I’ve been given. Let’s go out and get the W tonight, boys. Go Titans.

Of course, I cannot forget my Friday Favorites!

Favorite Song: One Time by Marian Hill

Favorite Drink: Mulled, Hot Apple Cider. Fall in a cup.

Favorite Accessory: Lululemon headbands. It has been a stressful week, and these have helped keep the hair out of my eyes during all of the stressful moments.

Favorite Outfit: My Homecoming Dress. I promise you’ll get pictures shortly.

Favorite People: My amazing friends who are coming home from college to see me tonight. Like you children are unreal.

Those are my Friday Favorites! What are yours?! Wish me luck tonight!

Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

Happy Thursday Bows and Blitzes!

How gorgeous is this ring?! It’s from Tiffany and co. I love how it’s simple and elegant yet really makes a statement. I’m also just a ring addict in general, but that’s a different story. Christmas list? I think yes. Any jewelry y’all have been eyeing lately?!

Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Happy Wednesday B&B!

Today’s post is a little off-beat for me. This is a very important week for me in my life and it will be very memorable- my senior homecoming. Not only is it my last homecoming, but I am on the Homecoming Court to be voted for queen. I squealed when I found out. This being such a big week in my life, all of the important people are involved: my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, teachers, and last but absolutely most important- my friends. My friends are going absolutely crazy over this whole thing, and I couldn’t love them any more for it. I am so blessed to have the amazing people in my life that I do. So, eGm, bBg, and lUj- thank you guys for being so excited with me. You guys are the most amazing people and I truly have no words to describe your worth. You cannot fathom how much you mean to me!

Unfortunately, some of the most important people in my life are celebrating from afar this week. My best guy friend, Jeremy, (the one who encouraged me to start this blog,) is super missed this week. I’ve been kinda emo about him being gone in the first place, and him missing this week just makes it ten times harder. It’s funny, because I knew I would miss him- I just didn’t think it would be this much or this hard without him. Perhaps these are the people who end up being the most impactful in our lives. It’s never the people we expect, but it’s always the people we cannot live without.

My other best friend, cBs is actually driving home from college to be here with me this weekend. Repeat: she is hopping her little booty in her VW bug and driving 5.5 hours to come home and see me stand on a football field during a halftime show. I have no words. She is the most amazing person in this world. I am so lucky to have her as a big sister figure. I cannot wait to look up at her and see the look on her face. She will be the reason for my big puddle of emotions Friday- regardless of whether I’m voted queen or not.

So, how do we deal with these emotions? I, of course, stay in touch with my friends, but I still really struggle with the fact that they aren’t just there for me to go pick up whenever I want to hang out with them. I miss them more than anything in this world- I hope they realize it. Do any of you have important people in your life away at college? How do you cope? Have a very blessed day!
