Today’s post is a little different! As most of you know, I love yoga. Like, Ido it daily and cannot live without it. That being said, I feel like not many people know the what/how/why’s of yoga and meditation! So without further ado, here’s cPe’s guide to becoming a yogi.
What: In it’s simplest form, yoga is stretching with breathing. Meditation is allowing your mind to be free to move to whatever it moves to without consciously controlling it. Western yoga is inspired by but different than traditional Hindu yoga. Westernized yoga is more used as means of exercise and athleticism, whereas Hindu yoga is used to connect with a higher power.
How: It’s easy. All you need is yourself. Yoga With Adrienne is a good youtube channel for beginners if you’re interested in at-home yoga, or you could always take a yoga class!
Why: There is no feeling quite like the stress relief of yoga. It clears your mind, strengthens your body, and overall makes me a more understanding and calm person. I recommend yoga to everyone and anyone!
