It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later

Today’s topic is a little more somber, but also exciting. As happy as I am to be beginning college, I am really struggling with all of the goodbyes. I feel like I’m losing some of my closest friends, like with every person that leaves, a little part of me is leaving, too. I’ve of course gone to goodbye dinners and spent my time with them, and have been keeping in touch with those that already left, but it never gets easier. What are your tips for dealing with “see you later?”

So, you’re all going to think I’m crazy. But how cute are these shoes from J.Crew?!  I think they’re the perfect statement piece to add to an otherwise plain outfit. Imagine black pants, a white button down, these shoes, and a statement necklace. A d o r a b l e. How would you wear these?! Would you wear them?

First Day of College

Look For Less: Smoking Slippers

If you've been reading my blog for a while, it's no secret that I love smoking slippers. I think they're just so classic and functional. I've been dying for a pair of Hadleigh's, but as a college student, I can't justify it. Cue sadness. Imagine my surprise when I saw my coworker wearing these shoes, I complimented her, and she told me they were from...wait for it... Old Navy! I really don't shop much at Old Navy because I think you can get cuter stuff elsewhere, but these took me by surprise. For less than $30, you really can't go wrong. Even if they only last a season, at least you didn't spend a fortune on them! I need to get a pair for myself, and I think you all do, too. What have you been looking at for Fall? Have any of you moved back to school yet?

Outdone in Outerwear

Happy Wednesday, B&B!

J.Crew is coming in hot this year for Fall and Winter outerwear. This cape is TO DIE FOR. I love that it comes in black and camel, so you can switch it up. I love a good cape-there’s just something about them that’s so classy and elegant. Definitely a good purchase. 

Also a good choice is this day coat. It comes in a wide variety of colors, which is excellent. I always have a hard time working color into my Fall and Winter wardrobe! It’s mostly black, gray, black, and more black. The most color I really wear from September-March is deep navy, burgundy or olive, so a colorful coat may be a remedy for that. I am in love with the “neon flame” color! I know it seems a little early for outerwear (it’s only August,) but everyone I know moves into school either this week or already has (some of my friends have even started classes!) so now is the time to buy, before you’re walking to class in chilly temps wearing nothing but a hoodie. What have you been seeing that would be great for Fall/Winter? Football season officially starts next week, by the way :)

Lilly After Party Sale
