Fall Fashion Question

Happy Thursday, B&B!

Today's post isn't really an informative one, it's more of an inquisitive one. What do I absolutely need in my back to school closet? I've gone to private school my whole life, and therefore have worn a uniform the past 12 years. I have plenty of cute Summer clothes, but I need to really build up my Fall wardrobe! I know it seems early, but I start school in three weeks (eek!) and I've noticed stores starting to transition their inventory. What are your Fall essentials?

This Fall, I'll finally be starting college! I am beyond excited to start the newest chapter in my life. I've heard so many tips & tricks for college success, so I figured I would share the wisdom that's been bestowed upon me! Click here for the best college packing list ever, and here for websites every college student needs to know. I clearly can't speak from experience yet, but it seems like solid advice. We all know the basics (go to class, go to office hours, etc.) but college is the time when we're all supposed to branch out and find ourselves. Don't be afraid to take chances and put yourself out there. After all, a ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for. What are your college tips and tricks?

Summer Reads: Review

I just finished Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan, and I must say, it's worth the read. It's light enough to be a breezy Summer read, but still has dramatic twists. It showcases an Irish Catholic family from out East, and all of the drama that accompanies them. What have you been reading lately?!

New at Lulu

Hello, Bows and Blitzes!

Today, I decided to showcase what's new at Lululemon! If you've been reading here for a while, you know I have an obsession with Lulu. I think it's excellent quality and beyond worth it! This top (pictured above) is in my new favorites! I'm also loving these pants. I think they would be the perfect class-to-errands pant, or just nice for lounging. 

Last but not least, I have my eye on this jacket. I adore the plum color (pictured) but would not be opposed to a neutral, either! I think that, once again, it's perfect for lounging or yoga. What have you been eyeing at Lululemon?

Lilly's Layton

Happy Friday, B&B!

Well, y'all, Lilly has done it again. This little number is the perfect shift. Wear it as is during the Spring/ Summer, or with a Blazer and tights during the Fall/Winter, and it suits the bill for both. It can be worn to work or dressed up for date night, and the color is absolutely stunning. P.S. Is anyone else MAJORLY tempted by all of these end of Summer sales?! So many good deals! Ann Taylor is 40% off New Arrivals, J.Crew is 40% off everything PLUS 75% off final sales, and, let's not forget the Mother of them all, Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is still going on. Desk Inspiration

I am IN LOVE with these pretty, organized desks! I'm currently looking for a new desk for my room, and therefore am looking for ways to organize it also! The rest of the furniture in my room is white, so that's absolutely essential, but other than that, I'm open to suggestions! Do any of you have desks that you totally love?!

Okay, seriously, how cute is this dress?! Though the price tag isn't exactly college-student friendly, I think it would be a great dress for a High School dance or even a sorority formal! It's a basic black dress, but it's different enough to make it special. This is the kind of dress you make memories in. Do any of you have dress favorites lately? Let me know!

Late Summer Fashion

Happy Monday, Bows and Blitzes!

The weather here is starting to feel a little different. It's definitely starting to give off that "end of Summer" vibe. It's still very warm, but it's not as humid (something I take as a sign of Fall coming.) I also heard the cicadas for the first time this weekend, which, according to old wive's tales, means six weeks until the first frost! Because of the different vibe, I've started to pull different pieces from my closet. Don't get me wrong, I'll be wearing Lilly until there's snow on the ground (let's be real, I'll always be wearing Lilly,) but I also wanted to pick up some solid transition pieces for this end of Summer/early Fall. This dress is one I picked up from my local Gap. I wear it to work, but it's one of those very versatile pieces that could take you from day to night with a shoe/jewelry change and a little bit more makeup! I wish I had a picture of myself in it, but I don't usually have time to take a selfie before work. It is one of the most comfortable dresses I've ever owned, though. What do you do to transition your wardrobe from Summer to Fall? Are you starting to feel that Summer has a different vibe now?

Ralph Lauren Totes

Happy Saturday, B&B!

I'm starting my search for the perfect Fall bag a little bit early this year. I want something functional but fashionable. I'm hoping to get one that's real leather, but I don't want to pay $400 for a bag as a college student. I think I've met my match with the Ralph Lauren  Crawley Shopper Tote. It's big, is made of beautiful leather, and has gold hardware (which is great since I wear mostly gold.) It's also on sale at Dillard's for only $131.60, which is an absolute steal for a leather handbag. I am, however, having trouble deciding which color! Which do you think is more versatile? Is there another bag you think I should invest in?

Lilly Switching It Up

How cute is this new shift from Lilly?! I think it is so different than anything Lilly has put out this year. I also think the yellow lace is less harsh than the white, which make sit an easier piece to transition from Summer to Fall. I know it seems early, but it really is time to start thinking about Fall fashion again (ah!) What have you been eyeing for Fall? What trends do you think will be big for Fall? Let me know!

Sephora Obsessed

Happy Tuesday, Bows and Blitzes!

As I mentioned last week, I placed an order at Sephora! It's set to arrive by this afternoon. I already told you I ordered the Jaclyn Hill x BECCA Champagne Pop highlighter (I cannot wait!!!!) But I also ordered a few skincare items! 

The first thing is this set from Glamglow! It;s called the "Get Glowing" set and has 3 of their best masks in it. I've wanted to try glamglow for a long time, but never really bit the bullet and did it (until now.) I know a lot of people are really curious about these, so I'll do a review later if you wish!

The second thing is a bottle of Josie Maran Argan Oil. This oil is supposed to be the holy grail of skincare, so I'll let you know how it goes!

The last thing I got was just another bottle of my signature perfume, Viva La Juicy. It's perfect day or night and all year round. Safe to say I'm obsessed. What have you guys been into beauty-wise lately?!

I hope your 4th of July was filled with fun, freedom, and patriotism! Over the long weekend, I started looking at some new bedding! I want to switch my room up a little-not a lot- but a little. Right now it's all neutrals with some navy, and I think I want to incorporate some more navy! I saw the above duvet at PBTeen! What have you been seeing that could work for me?
