Sparkle a Little Brighter, Darling

Happy New Year's Eve!

I was browsing J.Crew today when I came across this skirt! I think it would be perfect with a black turtleneck (tucked in) and a pair of sparkly pumps! It has just the right amount of sparkle for New Year's parties, without being obnoxious and in-your-face. I still don't know what my plans are for this evening, so this should be interesting. What are all of you wearing tonight? Are you going to parties?

Loco for Lululemon

Happy Tuesday, B&B!

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the brand Lululemon. If you aren't, Lululemon is a company that sells the best workout clothes ever. In my humble opinion, their quality is greater than that of Nike, Under Armour, Addidas, etc. and they're more ethically responsible. I received a few items from Lululemon for Christmas, though I owned a few previously. I am a huge fan of their leggings (called Wunder Unders.) They provide shape and comfort without being see-through, like many leggings tend to be. I also am obsessed with my Vinyasa scarf. Mine is mint blue and gray, and I have worn it almost every day. It's cozy but practical, and there's almost endless ways to wear it! Are any of you familiar with Lululemon? What are your favorites?!

Post-Christmas Update

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I hope all of you had a fantastic holiday (whatever you celebrate!) My family had the best Christmas we've had in a long time (maybe ever.) It was just so much fun and everyone had a great time! I'll be back to my regular blogging schedule here very shortly. I hope to see you all soon :)

Christmas Eve 2014

Happy Wednesday B&B!

To be honest, I get more excited about Christmas eve than I do about Christmas. My family is Catholic, so we always get super dressed up then go to Mass together. We also have a really formal sit-down dinner, which is something I'm always excited to do. The formality just makes it more festive, in my eyes. This year, traditions are changing a little bit, but that's okay, because we're still spending time together as a family, and that's what's really important. Do you guys celebrate Christmas? How do you guys celebrate Christmas? Whatever you're doing today, I hope it's absolutely blessed. Merry Christmas!

Christmas break is officially here my loves! Spend your time baking, giving, caroling, sipping cocoa, watching Christmas movies, decorating a gingerbread house, burn a holiday candle, or just spend some time with those you love. Have a festive and safe weekend!

Face-Ing the Cold

Hello Bows and Blitzes!

Thursday is here and so are the end of finals (can I get a hallelujah?!) Christmas break is finally here and I could not be more ecstatic! Sledding, ice skating, and skiing galore will take place over the next few weeks. Something I think many people underestimate is the importance of a functional winter coat. I have plenty of dress coats, but I really didn’t have a “snow” winter coat until my mom ordered one for me a few weeks ago.

One of my favorites is The North Face Miss Metro jacket. It’s definitely an investment piece, but it will last you years and keep you so warm. I also love that this coat is fitted, so it kind of avoids the whole “michelin man” dilemma. Do any of you have fitted winter coats like this?!

The Key to The Heart

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday, Darlings!

Though they came out a while ago, something I have always had a soft spot for are the Tiffany & Co. Key necklaces. I just think they’re so gorgeous. They’re such a simple concept, but can be so intricately designed. Above is one of my favorites. If you’ve been reading B&B for a while, you know I love rose gold. Although they’re beautiful, these necklaces will set you back a pretty penny…but hey, a girl can dream, right?

Holiday Nails

Happy Tuesday, B&B!

I’m just realizing I never did a Holiday nail post! My hand is the top one, the other hand belongs to my best friend. Both are OPI gel colors we had a while back and I never posted! I love a dark red for the holidays, but I also love the shimmery, frosty white polish she has on. Both just scream “Christmas” to me! I also want to try a dark green before the season’s end. What are your favorite Holiday nail colors?!

The Spirit of Giving

Happy Monday Bows and Blitzes!

I hope you all are having the most wonderful holiday season. My family is Catholic, so we celebrate Christmas. Above is a pic of our Christmas tree! (super close, sorry.) Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. Yes, everyone loves presents, but I truly love giving. I love seeing other people’s faces light up when you do them the smallest favors, or find the perfect gift for them and they finally open it. One thing that drives me crazy is when people only give during the holidays. The spirit of giving should be alive year-round, and I think we all need to take a moment and remember this. What do you celebrate?! Have you been giving?! Have you been decorating for your holiday?! I hope you have a great week :)

Saturday Ski Sweaters

Happy Saturday B&B!

For starters, I apologize for the two day absence. I have been beyond sick this week, and I come home and immediately go to sleep. But I’m starting to feel better, so posting should resume as normal. I was browsing J.Crew this morning and stubbled upon this adorable ball of cozy. It has skiers printed on it, guys!!! Right now, it’s 40% off with the code GIVETHIS. J.Crew always has such amazing sales, it’s truly such a great company. What have y’all been using to keep cozy?! Have a great weekend :)

A Very Lilly Christmas

Happy Monday Bows & Blitzes!

As we continually get into the Holiday Spirit, we also continue to decorate. An ornament I found that would look perfect on a Christmas Tree is this Lilly Pulitzer one. It’s so beautiful, and it’ll remind you of sunnier times. It would look cute on a personal, mini tree for a dorm, or it would look cute on a big “family” ornament tree. You could even go crazy and have a Lilly themed tree (there I go again with crazy ideas.) How do you guys like to decorate for Christmas?!

Friday Favorites 12.05.14

Good Morning, Bows and Blitzes!

It’s Friday, Friday..(where is Rebecca Black when you need her?!) Thanksgiving break is always such a tease. My friends and I all agree that Christmas Break needs to be here, pronto. We officially now have one learning week and one exam week until Christmas break! (Fingers crossed we make it.) Naturally, I’ve been a caffeine-fueled mess this week (so, it was a normal week.) But I did have time to make a favorites list for y’all :)

Favorite Drink: Black Coffee With Peppermint. I go to Starbucks quite frequently. Like, sometimes multiple times a day. It’s bad, I know. But this drink is a great way to get your “Christmas Drink” fix without all the calories of their Holiday Lattes and Mochas (although they will always have a special place in my heart.)

Favorite Way to Sweat: I have been a full-on yogi again this week, and it feels SO good to be back in practice. Namaste, loves.

Favorite Nail Color: Essie Topless and Barefoot. It’s a nude (in case that wasn’t obvious.) It’s a good switch from the dark colors I’ve been rocking lately. I’m planning on some new gel here very soon. There’s just something about a professional manicure that makes me feel so put together.

Favorite Accessory: Red Sparkle Knit Infinity Scarf. I have no clue where I got it, I have no clue when I got it, but it is so festive and cozy. Go get a cable knit infinity scarf if you don’t have one already.

Favorite “Calm Down:” This has been a cup-of-tea-and-read-a-book kind of week. Maybe I’m just over school, I don’t know. But I have been trying to just get cozy for the Winter this week! Sometimes I even light a Christmas candle, too.

What have been your favorites this week?! Have a safe weekend!

Krazy For Kate

Hi Guys. It’s Thursday.

I think most of us can agree that we appreciate pretty things. I am one of those people who just loves looking at said things; I could do it for hours. One of the pretty things I saw this week was this Kate Spade Dress. It’s not even close to functional, and at over $1200, it’s not practical whatsoever, but hey, a girl can dream. I just picture this dress in New York City at the most fabulous New Year’s Eve party! It’s a shame I’m not royal, I could utilize the endless money splendidly. Anything “out there” you guys have been looking at lately?! Have a good day, the weekend is almost here :)

You're The Man, Yurman.

Happy Wednesday, B&B!

I’m a big fan of classic. I think things that never go out of style are necessary, and I don’t mind paying a little bit more for those items. One pice I’ve admired for a while and think will never go out of style are David Yurman Cable bracelets. I’m hoping for one for my graduation present from my parents! I just think there’s something about them that is so timeless. Do any of you have one? Would you purchase again?

When Life Hands You (Lulu) Lemons...

Happy Tuesday, Darlings!

Something I don’t talk about often on the blog is fitness. I am a huge yoga/ running girl, and I love cute yoga/running gear. Naturally, Lululemon is one of my favorite places for gear. I don’t like Lulu because it’s Lulu, I like Lulu because they produce quality products I can rely on. Can you buy cheaper stuff? Absolutely. Will it last as long? Not a chance.

I’ve had my eye on The Mat for a while, and it may be my Christmas gift to myself.

I also have been dying over the Vinyasa scarf. 10 ways to wear it? Worth it.

In my opinion, no pair of leggings will EVER top Wunder Unders. They just fit so well and last so long. The biggest bonus is that they aren’t see through like so many brands can be.

The Forme Jacket is one of those things that is probably comparable to any other zip up athletic jacket, but I love cuffins, and they can be hard to find. So once again, Lulu is so worth it.

Finally, I’ve had my eye on the Atman pant for quite some time. They just look SO cozy. I must obtain.

Do any of you have Holy Grail items from Lulu of other brands?! Have a great day!

Plaid On The Brain (Literally.)

Happy Monday, Lovelies!

One thing many of you probably don’t know is that i am a hugeeee hat girl. Baseball caps, sun hats, you name it. In the summer, I think Norts, a pocket tee, and a hat is a great look for running errands, and in the winter, a hat with a long sleeve tee, leggings, and a vest can’t be beat. Enter: Vineyard Vines Plaid Baseball Cap. HOW CUTE?! It would make a great gift for a hat fanatic such as myself, or it’s a great pice to add to your collection. I just thought I’d share :) Have a super blessed day!
